Julie Weatherhead and Anthony Hooper have been running the original Living Classroom at Peppermint Ridge Farm since 1996. In that time, over 5000 people have participated in our extensive educational programs. Julie is an experienced environmental educator and ecologist with a degree in Environmental Science and Education. She is passionate about protecting and enhancing our natural environment. Anthony has an extensive background in community development and the development of sustainable communities.

Want to know how to grow delicious vegetables, saving water, time and money? In this workshop you might get your hands dirty, but you will learn everything you need to know to create a beautiful vegetable garden – includes a bushfood morning tea (included in cost). Suitable for all ages.

What does your garden grow? - Weed ID and management

9.30am - 1.00pm cost $65

Increase your awareness of the impact weeds have on our Australian environment with this short course. You will also receive knowledge on how to deal with weeds in your garden. Many of the plants we commonly use in our gardens are weeds and you will learn about the great native plant alternatives that are available. Bring along any samples of plants that you would like identified.
